So I went & saw Pearl Jam last night. It was awesome! It's my 7th PJ show & they never dissapoint! However, what was even better than Eddie & the boys last night, was the biggest, greatest douchebag, standing in the aisle 2 rows in front of me. I've lived a lot, seen a lot and met many a douchebag in my time, but this guy was the king! My hypothesis is this. Somewhere there is an island filled with douchebags. This island is called, "No Fear" island. You may have seen members of the island around town, with their tribal and barbed wire tattos around their biceps. This is to signify that they're from the island. The word around the island was that Pearl Jam was coming to Los Angeles. All the "douchies" wanted to go, but were not worthy of seeing the show. So the king of the island went and would report back all that he saw or could remember. So the king of the island, traveled all the way to Gibson Amphitheatre & sat 2 rows in front of me. Dressed in cargo shorts, running shoes, earing on left ear, he started the show by spilling beer on the row in front of him. As the show went on, some thought by his eratic dancing and flailing around, that maybe he thought he was at a Phish show or something. There were many attempts to overthrow, "The King", either by security or angry fans around him. However the king prevailed. As the show came to a close, I couldn't help but think how lucky I was to have been in the presence of "The King". What an honor! As I sat there and reflected on a great show, I could tell, "The King", had a great time as well. It was at this time, I realized that my temporary tattoo on my left arm was beginning to itch. I had done a show the night before and convenitently did not remove it, before the PJ show. I also, was unable to secure a date for the show. The king was with a date. I thought that what a king is. He know's he's a douchebag and is proud of it! He is who he is! So I simply sat, smiled, enjoyed a little "Yellow Ledbetter" and bowed down to The King.
